UGLY SWEATER CONTEST
Do you think you have the ugliest Christmas sweater? If so, come show it off today by taking part in the ugly sweater contest! The competition will take place in the caf at lunch today and will be hosted by the student council grade reps! We hope to see you there, and may the ugliest sweater win!
SANTA'S WORKSHOP
A reminder lasers that tomorrow’s theme for our spirit week is Santa's Workshop! You are given the option to dress up as your favourite Christmas character or dress down in red and green spirit wear! If you are not following the proper guidelines that have been set out for you then you are expected to be in uniform and will not be entitled to the full-dress down.
ZAKOOR CUP TICKETS
Catholic cup tickets are available for purchase starting tomorrow at lunch! Tickets are $3 each! The last day to get your tickets will be Thursday at lunch!
CANDY GRAMS
Want to let someone special know you care about them this holiday season? Student Councils got you covered! Starting Wednesday, December 11th student council will be selling Christmas Candy Grams for $1 each! Sales will take place during lunch in the atrium! There will be a limited amount sold and you won’t want to miss them! Sales will continue until next Tuesday, December 17th or while supplies last and will be delivered on Thursday, December 19th to homeroom classes!
CORE SERVICE'S CATCH UP NIGHT
On Wednesday, December 18th, there will be a "Catch-Up" night for any student wanting to get caught up on assignments before the break. The session will run until 4:30pm in Core Services and pizza will be provided. If interested, please sign up on the sheet outside of Core Services. Hope to see you there!
STAFF LUNCHES
There will be complimentary chicken soup in the staff room this week.
WRESTLING
Last Saturday was an exciting and successful weekend for your Laser Wrestlers. At the Ursuline College Wrestling Tournament in Chatham - Gold medals were won by Ezra Weatherman, Kaelyn Kapsalis, and Miranda Iacobini. Silver medals were won by Abi Bhandari, Angelina Aziz, Avril Johnson, Mo Ibrahim, and Zoee Thibault. Bronze medals were won by Kyle Suralvo and Raidyn Landry. Everyone wrestled really well and definitely improved in these last 6 weeks. Our next tournament will be the Christmas Invitational this Thursday at Vista. Way to go, Laser Wrestlers!!!
SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL
Over the weekend, the boys basketball team participated in the 63rd annual University of Windsor invitational tournament. The boys did a great job in their first game and advanced to the final four which featured 3 teams ranked in the top 7 in Ontario. The boys competed well and ended up 4th this weekend. We round out the first part of the season Tuesday night at Riverside at 5:30pm. If you come to the game, be sure to wear blue!! Go lasers.
BOYS HOCKEY
This is a reminder to the players who have not submitted league fees for this year. Please take care of this or it could jeopardize you playing in the Catholic Cup. Also Thursday we have a final practice before the game, this is a mandatory practice.
WE PROJECT
Thank you to all of the members of WE Project for making this semesters activity such a success. The meeting for today is canceled.We will meet after the New Year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone from the WE Project.
NEW YORK TRIP
If you are attending the New York trip and were unable to attend Friday's brief meeting, please go to room 257 at the start of lunch today.
This is a reminder to all those attending the trip to New York.... your 3rd deposit is due this Friday, December 20th. For more information, please see Mrs. Isabella.
