Attention all grade 12's. Just a friendly reminder that many scholarships have due dates before the Christmas break including the Burger King McLamore Foundation Scholarship, Scooters N Chairs Scholarship, 7BinaryOptions Scholarship Essay Contest and the Jetty Scholarship. For further information please check out the guidance web page or visit your friendly guidance counsellor.  A MESSAGE FROM MS. MARRA
Attention all Teacher and students: Ms. Marra's Data Management Class is asking for your help! My Data Management class has created a number of surveys, as part of an assignment, aimed at high school students. If you have time in class before Wednesday Dec. 18, could you please fill them out? My students need data from all grades.
The link, bit.ly/38DrsML  will take you to a google doc you must be logged into their mytools2go account to access the document but responses remain anonymous. The surveys can be done using your phones too. My Data Management class appreciates your help with their collection of data.
CANDY GRAMS
Candy Gram sales resume today in the Laser Box at lunch! They are $1 each and will be sold until next Tuesday, December 17th or while supplies last. Candy Grams will be delivered on Thursday, December 19th to homeroom classes!

 SPIRIT WEEK
Our annual Christmas Spirit Week will be starting next Monday, December 16th! It will be a full dress down for all students as long as they are following the correct themes for each day and are keeping their attire appropriate.
Our themes include:
Monday: Ugly Christmas Sweater and festive socks
Tuesday: Santa's WorkShop or Red and Green Spirit Wear
Wednesday: Winter Wonderland (White, Blue and Silver) 
Thursday: The Night Before Catholic Cup (Holiday Pyjamas) 
Friday: Formal Dress and Spirit Wear (Blue and Yellow)

STAFF LUNCHEON
The hospitality class would like to welcome you to the December luncheon today for our end of the semester meal. After today we will be closed until February. Price is $8.00 and the menu is posted on the community website. Teachers give yourself a break and come on down and share some time with the rest of the staff, you will be surprised at all the new faces in our school who you have not met before!

 DOOR DECORATING CONTEST
A reminder to classes that are entered in the Christmas door decorating contest that doors will be judged Wednesday, December 18th, during first period. Let's see some creative entries Lasers!

 SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL
Last night, the senior boys clawed back to win their 3rd straight game defeating St. Anne's in a thrilling 69 to 66 game. Lasers were led by Hunter Pitre who shot us back into the game. The boys are away at the University of Windsor Invitational this weekend. Wish them well!

 NEW YORK TRIP
There will be a very brief but important meeting for all those attending the NY trip today at lunch in room 257.

 CROSS COUNTRY
For those cross country team members who have not done so yet, please RSVP with Alex MacLellan for Wednesday's Christmas party by the end of the day TODAY.

 STUDENT COUNCIL
SAC members and teachers, please complete the shared Google Doc this weekend for next week's Christmas party.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
