SEMI-FORMAL

Our annual winter semi-formal is finally coming back this year!! There is a survey posted on your grade level google classroom with a few questions to answer. If you are interested in attending semi-formal, please fill out the form by TOMORROW. Thanks Lasers for your cooperation as we bring back this awesome event!


DANCE TEAM

ATTENTION Choreographers

IF you are interested in choreographing for this year’s dance team, AUDITIONS are TODAY during lunch or after school.


TO prepare: Be sure to attend the Hip hop Masterclass as your audition piece AND prepare a short piece of choreography to your styles of dance that you are interested in choreographing.

BEST BUDDIES

There will be a Best Buddies meeting TOMORROW, Oct 14 in room 159.  If you would like to join the group, please come.  If you are looking to get involved and get self fulfilment by being a friend to another person this is the club for you. Also you can receive community hours.


LUNCHTIME SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOPS

Are you in grade 12 or 11 and want to  know more about how to access and apply for available  scholarships, bursaries and awards to help fund your post-secondary experience?

If so, there are 2 scholarship workshops available over the following weeks.

Both are during lunch and in the Learning Commons, one TODAY as well as on Monday October 17th.

Make sure to mark your calendars and see you there!


HONOURS RECOGNITION MEDALS

If you did not attend the ceremony and received an invitation please come get your metal on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the gym hallway at 11:55.  You can also come before classes or after classes to room 159 but please do not come during instructional time.


LUNCH N LEARN

All students who are writing the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test have been invited to the Lunch n Learn Google Classroom. The next Lunch n Learn session will take place TODAY in Room 262 during lunch. This is a fantastic way to get some extra support and practice heading into the literacy test. Snacks will also be provided. Please let Ms. Barile know if you have any questions. See you at lunch!


CHOIR

Attention Choir - There IS a choir practice tonight in the Music Room right after school in the Music Room. Speaking of 'room', there is always room in the choir for YOU! Come out and sing, and let the spirit move! See you there!


KARAOKE FRIDAY

Attention Karaoke Stars - Karaoke Friday is tomorrow at lunch! Pick your songs, and bring your Star Power to the Music Room at lunch tomorrow! We choose YOU!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
