ANNOUNCEMENTS


FRANCO-ONTARIAN DAY

Attention all French immersion students! On Monday, September 26, we will be celebrating Franco-Ontarian day by wearing green. It will be a half dress down, so make sure to bring your spirit with your best green top and uniform bottoms. 


TERRY FOX WALK

Hey Lasers, our school-wide walk for Terry Fox will be held on Thursday, September 29th. We are collecting $2 donations in all period 1 classes, up until the day of our event! 


Let’s keep Terry's dream alive, bring $2 to your period 1 class, and help raise money for cancer research!



BEST BUDDIES

Are you interested in becoming a Best Buddy?  If you have great leadership skills and love to be around people this is the club for you.  There will be an information meeting Monday September 26th in room 159 during lunch.  Come check it out to see if this is something that interests you.

STJustice League

Are you concerned about social justice and environmentalism? Would you like to make a difference in our community but not quite sure where to start? Join STJustice league. We are a club that looks at key issues in our community and school, and finds ways to get involved and make a difference. 


Our first meeting will be held TODAY during lunch in room 201.  WE ARE WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS. Join our google classroom using the code : HQSRVQS

DIASPORA CLUB

The Diaspora Club will be starting again TODAY. 

New and returning members are welcome to sign up by scanning the QR Code on the door of Room 262.

Attention all Business SHSM members, our meeting will be held today at lunch in room 253


BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Both the Jr. and Sr. Boys Volleyball team will play their first regular season game TODAY. Seniors at 4:00 and Juniors at 5:20. Make sure to come out and support both teams in their first wins (of many). Let's fill the stands for both the Sr. and Jr. games TODAY.


GOLF TEAM WECCSSA TOURNAMENT

Good luck to Laser Golfers; Norah Donais, Christain Morneau, Jack Dupuis, Jackson Blair and Owen Bentley as they will be competing in the Kingsville golf tournament on Monday Sept 26th


SR. BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Senior Boys volleyball have a game here in our own Laser Dome tonight at 4pm

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
