POSTSECONDARY DEADLINES
Grads, this is a reminder that postsecondary deadlines are quickly approaching.  The deadline to complete your university application is January 15.  The deadline for College applications is February 1.  Please see your guidance counsellor as soon as possible with questions or concerns regarding this process.

NIGHT SCHOOL
Night School courses will be offered with the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board beginning Semester II.  A grade 11 credit in Mediterranean Cooking will be held at Assumption High School and Catholic Central will run Gr. 11 and 12 College English, Gr. 12 University Physics and Cooperative Education.  For more information or to register, please see your guidance counsellor.

UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR INFORMATION AFTERNOON
Attention Grade 10 and 11 students and families!  You are invited to the University of Windsor’s Grade 10/11 Information Afternoon! On Saturday, February 1st, come learn about: 
·         High school course selections 
·         Career exploration 
·         Hands-on learning experiences 
·         Scholarships and Financial Aid 
Be sure to visit the University of Windsor on Saturday, February 1st from 11:00 – 2:00 pm to find out how your high school course selection can set you up for whatever your future holds! 

FREE THROW SHOOTING CONTEST
Today there will be a Free Throw Shooting Contest in the gym. The two main basketball nets will be used, each contestant will shoot ten straight free throws, then the top three contestants from each net will move onto the final round which will be five alternating free throws. There is a $2 entry fee, the winner will get $20 then the rest of the proceeds will be donated to The Downtown Mission. To register for the contest, please go to the gym today at lunch before the competition starts.

BOYS HOCKEY
Just a reminder of your game today at the WFCU at 3:30. You will be released at 2:30. Let's start the new year the same way we started the season with a win. Good luck boys!

GIRLS HOCKEY
Looking for something to do today at 5pm? Why not come to the Girls 2nd Annual Outdoor Classic hockey game against Brennan at Lanspeary Park? See the Zakoor rematch in the great outdoors.  

LASER NEWS
There will be a laser news meeting today at lunch in room 258. New members are always welcome!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
