FOOTBALL

Attention all gr 9 students looking to play football next year. Camp starts MONDAY, June 4th from 3:00-5:00 on our field. Bring water, athletic attire, and spikes if you have them. For more info see Mr Fuerth in the phys ed office. Newcomers welcome!

GRADE REP VOTING 

All current gr. 10 & 11 students are reminded to vote today for next year's gr. 11 & 12 Student Council Reps. Voting will be in rooms 153 & 154 at lunch today.
JR BOYS SOCCER

Jr Boys ended their season last night with a hard fought loss against Holy Names.  It was hot, but they players showed a lot of grit.
Thank you to Mr Castagna for stepping in on short notice to coach - he got to see what great players are on the team that can play senior soccer next year.

Great season boys.  Please return your washed school jerseys ASAP to Mrs Valvasori

 SPIRIT WEEK! 

Starting next Monday, June 4th to 8th, we will be having a spirit week here at St. Josephs! 

The following themes and lunch time activities  include:

Monday: Vines and Memes- bring your favourite vine or meme to life! With a fashion show in the caf at lunch!

Tuesday: Dynamic Duo- Team up with some friends to form  power couples! Batman and Robin, Powerful girls etc... With a team eating contest in the caf at lunch! 

Wednesday: Tourists- Dress like a tourist & get ready to take a trip around the world! Wednesdays activity will be a scavenger hunt, follow @STJTWEET for the list that day! 

Thursday: Throwback Thursday- Show up in your blast from the past, 60s, 70s or 80s gear! Karaoke will take place in the caf at lunch!

Friday: Grade wars!! 

Gr.9s will be red
Gr.10s will be green
Gr.11s will be Orange
Gr.12s will be blue and yellow! 

There will also be a pep rally during fourth period on that day with shortened classes! 

That week will be a full dress down if you participate in each theme and keep the clothing appropriate! Get creative Lasers!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
