AFTER SCHOOL LITERACY PROGRAM

 Did you know that for every hour a student spends on the EQAO website their score will improve by 10 points? Did you know that you need 300 points to pass the literacy test which is a graduation requirement?  

The next session of the After School Literacy Program is tonight at 3:00 in Room 201. Sessions will continue every Monday and Wednesday from 3-4 in Room 201. It's not too late to join the class and get ready for the OSSLT. You've got this, Grade 10s!

GIRLS HOCKEY

Teachers, please dismiss members of the girls hockey team at 1:15 for their playoff game at the Vollmer Complex in LaSalle against Villanova. Thank you.

SENIOR BOYS SOCCER

Any students interested in trying-out for the Senior Boys' Soccer team for the upcoming season there will be a sign-up session at lunch on Tuesday, February 20 in room 153. If there are any concerns please see Mr. Castagna.

Reminder today's Copa Di Rayo game today is 2-G-1-C vs No Name FC at 11:40 AM.

SLAM POETRY

ATTENTION POETS - We have a Slam Poetry club that meets at lunch every Thursday in room 256. If you like to rhyme at any time and have things to say then come out today, at lunch in room 256. SLAM!

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Last night our Jr. Girls Volleyball team travelled to Massey to play in the WECSSAA Finals; unfortnunately they came up short, losing in straight sets- 25-15, 26-24, and 25-22.

Coach Hind is proud of their performace last night and throughout the season; there's been much growth this year and the building blocks are in place to continue growing for next season.  

Girls, please hand in your uniforms ASAP.  Also, do not forget about your lunch in room 161 next Thursday, Feb. 22.

BADMINTON

Badminton practice will resume tonight at 5:30pm.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
