WAYNE STATE AND BROCK UNIVERSITY
Grads, Wayne State will be here today and Brock University will be visiting tomorrow. Both schools will be in the atrium at lunch.

BLOOD DRIVE
Sign-ups for the blood drive will continue all week at lunch in the atrium. Reminder you must be 17 years or older to donate!

COATS FOR KIDS
Each year, before the snow begins to fall, our community rallies together to collect as many gently used coats, hats, and mitts as possible for anyone in Windsor & Essex County who is in need. Our Social Justice Club invites you to support this great cause by bringing any donations of gently used coats, hats or mitts to the Chapel by Friday, October 25.

FRENCH TRIP
Are you enrolled in core French or French immersion?  Do you love your country and want to explore it more?  Come out Friday at lunch to room 203 to sign up for our interactive trip to Ottawa, MontrĂ©al and Quebec City!!!  Students already signed up are asked to come to this meeting as well.

HOMEWORK CLUB
Homework Club will begin this week. For this week, it will run after school on Thursday from 3:00 - 4:00 in CORE Services (room 151). If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cabana at CORE Services.

OPTIMIST CLUB HALLOWEEN PARTY
The Optimist Club of Forest Glade is looking for volunteers for their annual Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 26th at Forest Glade Community Center anytime between 1:30-8:30.  Help is needed for set up, registration, kitchen help, craft and raffle table, handing out candy apples, cotton candy/popcorn area, and clean up.  For more information, click on the volunteer button on the guidance portal, visit the volunteer board in the guidance office, or call/email Barbara at 519-979-6118/bmatis@mnsi.net.

SENIOR CITIZEN TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
For any students needing volunteer hours, there is a senior citizen technology/activity program beginning in the fall that is looking for high school students to help run. CURLING TEAM
A Reminder to students who signed up for Laser Curling! There is a mandatory curling clinic at Roseland Curling Club today from 3:30 to 5:30. Dress warm and bring a clean pair of shoes. See you there!

GIRLS HOCKEY
Attention all girls trying out for the St. Joe's Girls hockey team. This is a reminder that our second try out will be today at 3:20 pm at WFCU. If you were unable to make it to the first tryout, you are still welcome to attend the second one. Please bring your 10 dollars to pay before the session.

BOYS HOCKEY
Just a reminder to those who are trying out for the senior team, there is a practice tomorrow at the WFCU. Tryouts start at 3:30. Those of you who cannot make it need to contact Mr. Sok's(room 160), Mr. Ryle or see Ms. Greig in core services. A reminder that it costs $10 per tryout.

WRESTLING
Wrestling is a great sport because anybody can do it. In this sport, you wrestle people that are the same weight as you; size is not an issue.  The sport of wrestling also helps you develop important qualities such as self-esteem, sportsmanship, work ethic and leadership skills. Wrestling teaches control, not violence.  Wrestling develops agility, balance, reflexes and strength in every major muscle group and can dramatically improve your ability to perform in other sports. If you are interested in trying this sport, sign up on the bulletin board list by the Phys. Ed change rooms or speak with Mr. Menard or Mrs. Carpio-Sementilli for more information.

SWIM TEAM
Attention members of the swim team: Please remember to bring in your forms and money to Miss Donais by the end of this week.

CARDBOARD BOAT TEAM
A quick reminder goes out to the cardboard boat design/build teams...we meet every night this week in the Design & Drafting room. Please be on time. 

STUDENT COUNCIL
There will be a meeting at lunch Friday, October 25th in room 157 for all those who would like to help with the Winter Ball this year which will be on Dec 6th.  Please bring your ideas so we can discuss them.

STJ YOUTH TROOP
There will be a meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 202 for the members of the 
STJ Youth Troop. See you there!

DRAMA CLUB
To any students interested in being a part of this year's Drama Club - there will be a very important information meeting this Friday, October 25th at the beginning of lunch. Thank you!

LASER NEWS
There will be a laser news meeting this Friday at lunch in room 258. New members are welcome, especially students interested in writing.
