HEALTH AND WELLNESS SHSM
Attention Health and Wellness SHSM students... Mrs. Lalonde has sent you an email that you must reply to ASAP !! as well, new grade 11 members of the program need to stop by the PE office by Friday to order your hoodie.

CORE FRENCH HOODIES
Attention all Lasers in Core French first and second semester. Laser Français hoodies are now available for purchase this week and week next only. These hoodies are considered Friday spirit wear. Come see Mademoiselle Lapico in room 203 for more details. 

COATS FOR KIDS
Each year, before the snow begins to fall, our community rallies together to collect as many gently used coats, hats, and mitts as possible for anyone in Windsor & Essex County who is in need. Our Social Justice Club invites you to support this great cause by bringing any donations of gently used coats, hats or mitts to the Chapel by Friday, October 25. 

HOUSE OF COMMONS RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN
This opportunity is available to all future graduating grade 12 students who maintain a minimum average of 80% and can speak both official languages. To be selected, you must also be accepted into a full-time programme at a university in the National Capital Region. If you are interested, the House of Commons is accepting applications no later than Monday, November 11th of this year and successful candidates will be awarded a one year contract beginning August 2020. For further information go to ourcommons.ca/page or check out the bulletin board display in the guidance office.

SENIOR CITIZEN TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
For any students needing volunteer hours, there is a senior citizen technology/activity program beginning in the fall that is looking for high school students to help run. HOTEL DIEU GRACE HEALTH CARE
Are you 15-19 years old and looking to have an impact in your community? OPTIMIST CLUB HALLOWEEN PARTY
The Optimist Club of Forest Glade is looking for volunteers for their annual Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 26th at Forest Glade Community Center anytime between 1:30-8:30.  Help is needed for set up, registration, kitchen help, craft and raffle table, handing out candy apples, cotton candy/popcorn area, and clean up.  For more information, click on the volunteer button on the guidance portal, visit the volunteer board in the guidance office, or call/email Barbara at 519-979-6118/matis@mnsi.net.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Students, a member of the Forest Glade community is looking for a student to help with some lawn care and leaf raking.  This would be a great way to earn your service hours.  If interested, see Ms. Gilbert in guidance.

FOOTBALL
The Laser Football team continued this week with a season of dominating play defeating  Riverside 24 to 1.  The entire team can be commended on the preparations that were made prior to this game.  Honourable mention goes out to the defence for their third week of shut out and to Brian Tonkin, Daniel Pahuyo, Josh Maadi for scoring the offence touchdowns and Joseph Marku for kicking the field goal and extra points.  The Laser Football team will resume play next Friday against Vista at 5:00 on Holy Names field. 

TENNIS TEAM

SWIM TEAM
Attention Swim Team, members of the swim team are asked to stop by room 254 to pick up the forms you will need to fill out and submit in order to swim on Tuesday. These forms are also located on Google Classroom. A reminder to the team, our first practice is Tuesday at the WFCU Centre. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit and a towel.

CURLING TEAM
To all students who have signed up for the 2019-2020 Curling season ... There will be a brief but Mandatory meeting in room 202 at lunch, on Wednesday, October 16.  All players must attend this meeting.
