LOST AND FOUND
The lost and found items are accumulating in the Attendance Office. There are articles of clothing, water bottles, notebooks. If you lost something, please check out the lost and found in the Attendance Office. Anything not claimed by the end of the month will be donated to charity.


SHAD
This message is for all gr. 10 and 11 students who have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math. SHAD is an award-winning enrichment and entrepreneurship program and network that empowers exceptional high school students to recognize their own capabilities and envision their extraordinary potential as tomorrow’s leaders and change-makers. SHAD is an enrichment program where participants live at a host university campus outside of their hometown for the month of July. At SHAD, exceptional youth are empowered to recognize their potential as leaders and change-makers. SHAD is for youth who want to use their abilities to bring about real, positive change. Upon completion of the program, you will become a lifelong member of the impressive SHAD network. With a growing total of 17000 alumni, it includes 32 Rhodes Scholars, 65 Schulich Leaders, 92 Loran Scholars as well as prominent entrepreneurs, industry leaders and accomplished professionals. You will also receive the SHAD Fellow designation, which is recognized and valued by universities, scholarship providers and employers. The application is lengthy, so please do not wait until the last minute.


BLOOD DRIVE
Sign-ups for the blood drive will continue all week at lunch in the atrium. Reminder you must be 17 years or older to donate! The final day to sign up is October 28th.


BOO GRAMS
Do you have a boo this Halloween? Well if not student council is giving you a chance to make a move! Purchase a BOO gram in the laser box starting Monday, October 28th until October 30th! Each gram will be $1 for a bundle and will be delivered during second period on Halloween!


COATS FOR KIDS
Each year, before the snow begins to fall, our community rallies together to collect as many gently used coats, hats, and mitts as possible for anyone in Windsor & Essex County who is in need. Our Social Justice Club invites you to support this great cause by bringing any donations of gently used coats, hats or mitts to the Chapel by Tuesday, October 29th.


FRENCH TRIP
Are you enrolled in core French or French immersion?  Do you love your country and want to explore it more? Come out today, at lunch to room 203 to sign up for our interactive trip to Ottawa, MontrĂ©al and Quebec City! Students already signed up are asked to come to this meeting as well.


OPTIMIST CLUB HALLOWEEN PARTY
The Optimist Club of Forest Glade is looking for volunteers for their annual Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 26th at Forest Glade Community Center anytime between 1:30-8:30.  Help is needed for set up, registration, kitchen help, craft and raffle table, handing out candy apples, cotton candy/popcorn area, and clean up. SENIOR CITIZEN TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
For any students needing volunteer hours, there is a senior citizen technology/activity program beginning in the fall that is looking for high school students to help run. GIRLS HOCKEY
Attention all girls trying out for the Girls Hockey team.... Next week's tryout has been moved from Wednesday to Monday. Same time, same arena. If you are still interested in trying out and playing for St. Joe's this year, please see Mr. Kittl in the attendance office.

FOOTBALL
Attention Lasers: it's time for our last football game of the regular season! It will be on Halloween, right after school. That's this coming Thursday! The location is Vista Academy @ 4 o'clock. Please consider sharing rides to come out and support our senior's last high school football game. The players would sure appreciate some fan support!

WRESTLING
There is a huge opportunity for wrestlers next weekend!!! You will be able to learn from Two-time Olympic and six-time world champion Sergei Beloglazov, who is considered among the greatest freestyle wrestlers in the history of the sport. He is also the head coach of the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club in Ann Arbor and works with the University of Michigan Wrestling Team. CARDBOARD BOAT TEAM
A quick reminder goes out to the cardboard boat design/build teams...we meet every night this week in the Design & Drafting room. Please be on time. 

ART CLUB
There is an art club meeting today at lunch in the art room, room #166. New members are always welcome!

WE PROJECT
Could all WE Project members please meet in room 155 today lunch to work on the banner. Thank you! 

STUDENT COUNCIL
Student Council Members, There will be a meeting at lunch today in room 157 for all those who would like to help with the Winter Ball this year which will be on Dec 6th.  Please bring your ideas so we can discuss them.

DRAMA CLUB
To any students interested in being a part of this year's Drama Club - there will be a very important information meeting today at the beginning of lunch.

LASER NEWS
There will be a laser news meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 258. New members are welcome, especially students interested in writing.


CADETS
There will be a meeting today at lunch in room 255 to prepare for the Remembrance Day Ceremony.
