BLOOD DRIVE
Sign-ups for the blood drive will continue all week in the atrium at lunch! Reminder you must be 17 years or older to donate!

HONOURS RECOGNITION CEREMONY 
Any students who did not attend the Honours Recognition Ceremony please see Ms. M. Marra receive your Certificate.  Please come to room 157 at the beginning of lunch.

CORE FRENCH HOODIES
Laser French Hoodies. Attention all Core French students in first and second semester. Monday will be the last day to place an order for your Laser Francais hoodie. Please come see Miss. Lapico in room 203 ASAP for more details. 

COATS FOR KIDS
Each year, before the snow begins to fall, our community rallies together to collect as many gently used coats, hats, and mitts as possible for anyone in Windsor & Essex County who is in need. Our Social Justice Club invites you to support this great cause by bringing any donations of gently used coats, hats or mitts to the Chapel by Friday, October 25. 


COLLEGE INFORMATION PROGRAM
Grads, there is a College Information Program TOMORROW at St. Clair College, South Campus. Colleges from across the province will be available to discuss programs with you from 9:30-11:30 am.

ENCOUNTERS WITH CANADA
Encounters With Canada is Canada's largest and foremost national youth forum. The application process is now open and available for teens aged 14-17.  Further information on this unique leadership opportunity can be found at www.ewc-rdc.ca/pub/en. If you are interested in this programme and have further questions, the guidance team would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have!

THE HAROLD HEWITT SCHOLARSHIP
The Harold Hewitt Scholarship is now available and is valued at $ 2 000 and an essay of no more than 250 words is required. This year's question is  “You are a superhero and you have to use your powers to make a positive change in the world. What powers do you have and how would you use them?” For further information go to www.wfcu.ca/Personal/ or check out the scholarship links through the Guidance website on the St Joe's Portal. If you have any further questions, feel free to come by the Guidance Office and the Guidance team would be more than happy to help! The deadline for this scholarship is November 1st!

OPTIMIST CLUB HALLOWEEN PARTY
The Optimist Club of Forest Glade is looking for volunteers for their annual Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 26th at Forest Glade Community Center anytime between 1:30-8:30.  Help is needed for set up, registration, kitchen help, craft and raffle table, handing out candy apples, cotton candy/popcorn area, and clean up.  For more information, click on the volunteer button on the guidance portal, visit the volunteer board in the guidance office, or call/email Barbara at 519-979-6118/matis@mnsi.net.

SENIOR CITIZEN TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
For any students needing volunteer hours, there is a senior citizen technology/activity program beginning in the fall that is looking for high school students to help run. CROSS COUNTRY
Our Laser runners competed at WECSSAA Cross Country yesterday, with some great success! Congratulations to Ciara Bigelow, Jane Buckingham, and Christian Raymond, who qualified individually for SWOSSAA.  Both the senior boys and senior girls teams qualified for SWOSSAA. As always, they showed excellent spirit and teamwork. Best of luck next week! 

BOYS HOCKEY
We will have our first tryout on Tuesday, October 22. There will be a $10 fee for every tryout session. This is a full equipment practice and will start at 3:30 pm.
