Monday's Announcements

POETRY IN VOICE
A big congratulations goes out to our three poets who competed at the Southwest Ontario regional team finals in Kitchener on Friday. Going up against local schools such as Cardinal Carter and Assumption, St. Joseph’s earned a coveted second place showing among a field of 18 regional poets who memorized and presented poems for Poetry in Voice. Contestants were from as far afield as London and Kitchener.

Congratulations to Keagan Yap, Jennifer Costea and Halleloyah Almansoor for their dedication to the craft of poetry and for making their chosen poems part of their own distinct personalities. Your presentations were simply breath taking. You have done St. Joseph’s proud with your love of the word and for your tireless dedication.

Thanks also goes out to our contingent of well-wishers and poetry supporters who traveled to Kitchener for the event. Thanks so much for representing us in the auditorium. Nationals this year are set for Winnipeg. Who knows, St. Joseph’s may indeed be in the running!
