BASEBALL TEAM
Attention all boys looking to play baseball for St. Joseph this year.
Please sign up outside the physical education office.  Practice begins at 3pm on Monday March 8th. Be prepared to practice in the gym.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS SHSM
Attention grade 12 SHSM Health and Wellness students.
Please check your mytools2go account for information about an upcoming FIrst aid/CPR mandatory certification.


WRESTLING TEAM
This week was the final competition for our wrestling season. Bianca Luciani and Raidyn Landry went to compete in Ottawa at OFSAA, the highest level of competition for high school level sports, with the best high school wrestlers from all across Ontario. It was an extremely challenging experience, and Bianca won fourth place for her weight bracket, a phenomenal achievement for a first year wrestler. Mr Menard and Mrs Carpio-Sementilli would like to congratulate all of our wrestlers for the last five months of hard work and hard-fought success. Our wrestling team this year earned a total of 6 Gold medals, 11 Silver medals, and 3 Bronze medals - that's pretty amazing. Thank you for such an exciting season! 


MARCH AND APRIL SCHOLARSHIP

A friendly reminder that several scholarships are now available through the guidance web site found on the St Joseph's Portal.

Please note that the following hard copy (paper) applications are now available in guidance;
The Francine Bryar Memorial Bursary, the Catholic Women's League of Canada and the Sherron Hogan Memorial Scholarship

TALENT SHOW
Wow!!  What an amazing school we have, with such incredible talent.  Thanks goes out to all of the students who participated in the show.  You were incredible.  Thank you also to Mr. Morson, Ms. Chiandussi and Ms. D'Alimonte for their help and support.  The talent show was our gift to the staff and students here at St. Joe's. LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
