NYC TRIP The Social Science department is planning a senior trip to New York City for the next school year. If you are a grade 10 or 11 student and have already or are planning on taking a senior social science course, you are eligible for this trip. There will be an information meeting this Thursday at lunch in room 257. BYRNE BURSARY FOUNDATION Is the death of one or both of your parents the reason you cannot afford to attend College or University next year? If you have serious intentions to attend College or University next year but due to financial problems may not be able to, then be sure to stop by the Guidance Office or Campus Ministry and pick up an application for the Byrne Foundation Bursary. This scholarship has a value of $2000 dollars to be awarded to a student in need and has suffered the loss of one or both parents. Further information can also be found on the Guidance Portal. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY The sand bag depot will be at 9410 Little River Road between noon and 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on Saturdays, That depot will be available until May 22, depending on demand. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer to help out with the sand bags, go to the City of Windsor 311 online site and then find the "call for volunteers" application form under the "request for services" tab. Further information can also be found under the volunteer icon in the St Joseph's portal or on the bulletin board in guidance. You must fill out the volunteer form to be eligible as a volunteer. SENIOR BOYS SOCCER Your Senior Boys Soccer team were victorious over Sandwich yesterday evening by a score of 2 - 0. Scoring for the Lasers were senior players Mike Zivcic and Mateo Aleksic.
